I’ve worked my ass off this week animating what was going to be a 2 minute animation for MTV. It ended up as 1:24 as I didn’t want to put in any old material. I’ve been waking up each morning with a cunt of a headache, combined with my sinuses filled with a substance that can only be described as chewed up processed cheese slices. Perhaps that’s how they’re made. I still feel shit either way.

This may explain why the piece isn’t great.

The animation is ok, the sound is as good as it was going to get with my voice sounding like it’s going to break again, but the ideas and writing aren’t brilliant.

Although I had four days to complete something half decent, I literally had three or four hours to come up with six or seven ideas strong enough to be featured, in order to give me enough time to animate them. With literally no inspiration, I think I did ok.

I’ve got no idea if it’s what they’re looking for but fuck it.

If you’re one of my mates and want to see the final piece, give me a shout. I can’t publish it as there’s no way MTV would want a dirty second hand clip.

Edit: MTV have just told me that they like it, and are “going to put it through the legal department and see what needs to get cleared”. I’ll find out next week.
